PRESCHOOL Physical Education and Fitness Program is a large motor development program that comes to the children at their school. We plan our lessons to include a strong foundation for fitness including aerobic activities, muscle strengthening skills, and flexibility work. Basic gymnastics skills help with balance, focus, and body control. Our younger children learn the fundamentals of movement (catching, throwing, kicking, hopping, skipping, climbing, balancing, etc.) to participate in sports and games at the elementary level.
We incorporate learning & music with movement in our lessons to enhance academic learning. Our games are noncompetitive while teaching the concepts of teamwork, good sportsmanship, and social interaction. Confidence building is at the heart of our lessons.
A cool down of quiet relaxation exercises teaches them to slow their breathing, heart rate, and to relax their muscles (kids yoga). We instill Sign Language into their program so they can share the experience with their family and friends as well as those in the deaf community.
We empower the children to discover the fun of physical activity so it becomes a permanent part of their healthy lifestyle.
Summer sport camps enhance their skills, improves their fitness level, and teaches the children competition in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Adapted Physical Education assists children with limitations to achieve and maintain their highest potential and level of independence through fun and exciting, individually planned group games and activities.
